I don't really like it when someone makes a jab at what I perceive to be my system's happiness, but maybe thats just me and being sensitive, who knows.

it was dumb and there was no malice to it, i didnt mean it as a personal thing, in any case, i think that as kitkat said, you can just merge, and let everyone enjoy whatever, you know how to be one people after all, you were for most of your life if im correct(edited)

Individuality can be nice unless it is just a burden, but remember you can just keep the good from each world.
I’d love to be able to get a comprehensive survey across as many tulpa spaces as possible.
I think the survey would have to break down nonhuman into categories. Like “human with animal features [horns, tails, animal ears, etc], furry/anthro animals, (feral) animals capable of communication, (feral) animals incapable of communication”
Even if you're liberal with it and consider "human-like" furries as humans or humanoid, then you get to say Gardevoir - surely a Pokemon can't be considered human-like, right?
Hm. I mean I guess things are a bit more scattered now, yeah?
Tulpamancy is just so niche I feel like you’d really need to pull from multiple sources to get a meaningful dataset
10:31 PM
Plus then you could also break down where the data is pulled from and see if there’s trends that spring up from different sites
Well I would be willing to work up questions for a possible survey and include questions other people are curious about. I think it would be a worthwhile pursuit.

I know some people in the tulpa community may be a little touchy about being “studied” but perhaps if it’s coming from someone in the community with the intent to make the data public for anyone in the community to analyze it might go over better
Not the DID meme I was reminded of but this grabbed my attention because there is so much to unpack here

First of all, I think it's good to think that nobody is a "problem alter", BUT the context of "only happy little system challenges" makes my stomach churn
2:21 PM
Second, I get it's a Bob ross meme, but I to my understanding of traumatic systems, I don't think most system challenges are "happy" or "little". I feel like it's downplaying the struggles they face all the time(edited)
narration you build in did treatment plays a huge role
2:39 PM
it’s just a meme and someone probably made it for jokes but i don’t disagree with the message
2:40 PM
someone can start by seeing an alter as problematic and working towards a different approach to them is very helpful
2:41 PM
an alternative is sticking to the „problematic alter” label, talk about them like a problematic alter, act as a problematic alter towards other people… that will only strengthen the behaviour and enable it
2:43 PM
if someone goes to someone (a friend, therapist, anyone) and says „i think i got a problematic alter” early enough and the person reassures and normalises it, it has much better prognosis for healing than sticking to communities surrounded by people enabling unhealthy behaviours
2:44 PM
someone that has been enabled for months or years would probably get very trigfered by that meme
